Yerevan Walking Tour
Yerevan is one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities, founded in 782 BC — older than Rome. We'll walk through its historical center: the famous singing fountains on Republic Square, the monumental Cascade Complex with sculptures and panoramic views, and the lively Vernissage open-air market with traditional Armenian crafts.
We'll dive into the GUM food market for a fragrant tour of dried fruits, sujukh, and local cheeses, then walk through the old Kond district — the oldest part of the city. We'll finish over coffee with homemade pakhlava in a café on Charles Aznavour Square. Along the way, you'll hear how architect Alexander Tamanyan designed the 'pink city' from scratch in 1924.
